Load King 403-DFP/DFM Folding Gooseneck Trailer
The Load King 403 DFP/DFM folding gooseneck trailers are equipped with a parallel link style power fold gooseneck, using hydraulic cylinders to raise and lower the trailer for fast and safe operation when a truck-mounted winch is not available. This folding design, much like E-Z fold is designed to eliminate binding. With an 80,000 lb. capacity in 8′ load concentration at 60 mph, this gooseneck trailer has a 106″ and 85″ swing clearance. Available with a hydraulically-operated gooseneck (DFP) or mechanically-operated (DFM).
POWER FOLD
PowerFold uses hydraulic cylinders to raise and lower the trailer for fast and safe operation when a truck-mounted winch is not available. This folding design, much like E-Z Fold is designed to eliminate binding.
ADJUSTABLE SIDE TO SIDE LEVELING
With a unique hydraulic valve, our design allows side-to-side leveling of the trailer for easy hook up in uneven terrain.
MULTIPLE 5TH WHEEL HEIGHTS
A shim in the gooseneck allows us to offer the standard 51” 5 Wheel height as well as the 58” height for use with ramp style jeep dollies or high 5th Wheel height tractors and prime movers.
GROUND BEARING HYDRAULICS
Very different from the Detachable Gooseneck Trailer, the preferred ground bearing design of the Load King folder allows high capacity operation without the severe stress imposed by the non ground bearing designs. This is one of the key reasons there are 50 year-old Load King Folders on the road every day.
PERIMETER FRAME DECK
The full-width folding gooseneck allows us to put the strength of the main frame where the load sits without the redundancy of center beams. Strength and durability proven for over 50 years.
MULTIPLE KING PIN POSITIONS
Load King offers the best swing clearance to gooseneck length ratio in the industry. All goosenecks come standard with 2 or 3 kingpin locations for shifting weight between truck and trailer.
BOLTED BOARD ENDS
Load King Bolts all full-width Apitong board ends, significantly increasing the life of the deck. This is a cost effective feature we never ignore.
FRONT LIFT EYE
Standard on all our folders, the pick up eye allows easy hook-ups when using a truck winch, and acts as a backup for the powerfold.
18” CROSSMEMBER SPACING
Deep heavy duty crossmembers on 18” centers support the deck for narrow full-capacity loads, and preserve the life of the Apitong deck with more support points.
24° SLOPE
With a standard 24 degree slope from the lower deck to the subframe, it is much easier to load machines over the axles with a Load King.
FULL DEPTH FABRICATED OUTRIGGERS
Full Depth Fabricated Outriggers span from the top flange to the bottom flange - giving the best weight transfer onto the perimeter beam.
PONY MOTOR
Standard on the PowerFold, the 13HP Honda IGX with integrated throttle and choke is safely located in a tool box at the rear of the lower deck. The exhaust is piped out of the compartment, and the controls are conveniently located on the side beam for easy access. 20HP and diesel options are available.
